Cleveland Public Library, Photograph Collection
The Photograph Collection of approximately 1,300,000 black and white photographs is
drawn primarily from newspaper morgues such as the Newspaper Enterprise
Association, Central Press Association, Call & Post, Cleveland Press and Plain Dealer. It
documents the social and political history of the 20th century through photographs of
people, places, events, and things locally and worldwide.

Ohio Historical Society
The society exists to collect, preserve, interpret, and make available evidence of the past.
One resource valuable to the genealogists is the Death Certificate Index, 1913 - 1937, to
persons that died in Ohio in the above years, useful for determining date of death and
certificate number. Using the index information, a researcher can later obtain a copy of
the certificate itself, which holds further information.
